Allowing Your Practice to Evolve

Allowing Your Practice to Evolve

Today my meditation was wonderful. Sometimes that is not the case. Little Pikachu sat with me the whole 50 minutes. I think that means that my mind and body were more still than usual. She has been a good teacher for me, watching me as a sit. She points out when I move my toe or thumb by pouncing and playfully nipping at the blanket covering my digits. I hadn't realized that I stroke my thigh with my thumb, an unconscious and subtle self soothe. How sweet that I offer that to myself and that my practice allows me to strengthen my being such that I can release the habit when it no longer serves me. Today I kept re-centering on what it feels like to experience the energy and information that flows along my spine...body informing brain and vice versa. I guess I got a buzz on, because I'm feeling pretty floaty with anxieties at bay...I am grateful for the tools I have to conscientiously evolve with love and compassion for myself and others.
