Life is miraculous. It is a realization that often gets obscured by life circumstances. Keeping a roof over our heads and food on the table has gotten so expensive; war and injustices! But... my tomatoes don't know that, so they keep yielding the most delicious offerings they can muster. The wildflower garden continues its color and variety. Little Pikachu experiences sheer delight at seeing our friend the window washer...social unrest? Pshaw! Check out this wet rag!
My challenge is to keep wonder alive in soul crushing world conditions. That does not mean burying my head in the sand, I keep well abreast of politics...it is in my blood, (thanks Dad.) For me, it means keeping a vision of a better world at the same time as witnessing difficult events. I truly believe that there is more good than evil in the world. Evil is loud so good must be strong...and hopefully funny because a smile keeps the blues at bay!
